As a dancer from a young age, Jennifer’s first experience with a chiropractor came after an injury leading to a jammed hip. Following her rehabilitation, she made the decision to continue seeing her chiropractor with regular, preventative care to improve her mobility as a competitive dancer. Jennifer has always lived a very active lifestyle, and has never been slowed down by her diagnosis of Type 1 Diabetes. She attributes her excellent, complication free quality of life to 22 years of maintaining a healthy diet and regular chiropractic visits.
After moving to San Francisco in 2001, Jennifer began working in the mortgage industry—a stressful, corporate environment where she found enormous benefits to fighting anxiety and depression through yoga, meditation and chiropractic care. As those around her came to her seeking her secret to stress management, she began referring every person who came to her to her chiropractor. It was during this time that she realized just how passionate she was about helping others. It was this realization that inspired her to make it her life’s work.
Later that year Jennifer obtained her Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Colorado State University, and graduated with her Doctorate in Chiropractic from Life Chiropractic College West in California in 2013. Though Jennifer enjoys working with anyone seeking to improve their health and well-being, Jennifer has truly found her niche empowering families to make informed decision making during pregnancy and birth. Much like her husband, she thrives in environments where she is able to work with expecting mothers, babies and children. In addition to pre and post-natal chiropractic care, Jennifer is a is also a Certified Doula, offering her services before, during and after pregnancy to direct new mothers towards a shorter labor with fewer complications.
Jennifer’s post graduate studies include obtaining a Pediatric Diplomat through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association in 2014, as well as becoming certified in the Webster Technique. As a life-long learner with a passion for education, Jennifer has continued her studies of Bio-geometric Integration (BGI), Zone Healing, Concept Therapy, Cranial Sacral, Sacral Occipital Technique, Myofascial Release Technique, animal adjusting and Reiki.
Jennifer received her Yoga Alliance Teaching Certification while studying in Dharamsala, India, and has been practicing yoga for nearly 15 years. She has traveled to more than 30 countries and speaks fluent Spanish thanks to her experiences while living in Sevilla, Spain and Tamarindo, Costa Rica. When Jennifer is not practicing yoga, lounging in a hammock, traveling the word or cooking delicious organic meals, she enjoys spending time with her family and exploring all of the beauty that Boise has to offer. Jennifer could not be happier to serve the Boise community through exceptional chiropractic care.
