Breastfeeding support and education

At BoDo Chiropractic, we walk alongside new mothers and their babies from the very first latch to a comfortable daily rhythm. We address the physical root causes that make breastfeeding hard, for both of you, and we give you real tools to use at home between visits.

Learning to nurse is like learning a new sport...

Nobody masters a new skill on the first try, especially one that requires two people, a specific set of body mechanics, and recovery from birth all at once. We've walked alongside countless families who felt like giving up, and we've seen them come out the other side thriving.

Our approach is hands-on, whole-body, and rooted in compassion. We assess the latch, the baby's jaw and neck, mama's positioning, and we give you exercises you can use at home between visits. We've seen time and time again, mothers who fought through every challenge and made it to the other side.

You don't have to do this alone.

Four Things We Look At Each Visit

1.  The Latch Lips flanged, wide latch, jaw moving freely. Dr. Jen assesses what's working and what isn't, and gives you practical tips and tricks you can use the moment you leave the office.

2. Tongue & Jaw Tension Birth can compress the jaw, restrict tongue movement, and create tension in the neck that makes nursing painful or difficult for your baby. Craniosacral therapy helps gently unwind all of it.

3. Neck Rotation If your baby only turns their head one direction or favors one breast, restricted neck movement is often the reason and it's very treatable with gentle chiropractic care.

4. Mama's Posture & Body Hours of hunching over your baby take a real toll. We help you find sustainable, pain-free positioning and release tension in your neck, shoulders, and spine so feeding doesn't leave you broken down.

Is This You?

  • Baby struggles to latch or keeps slipping off the breast

  • Nursing is painful — even when the latch looks right

  • Baby only turns their head to one side or favors one breast

  • Baby clicks, gulps, or seems gassy and uncomfortable while nursing

  • You're hunching, straining, or experiencing neck and shoulder pain during feeds

  • You've been told tongue or lip tie may be involved

  • Baby had a difficult delivery — forceps, vacuum, or a long labor

  • You want to breastfeed and simply need more support to get there
